If this is your first time working with Kathryn, the first step would be to complete a free 15-minute intro call by phone. You can schedule this through Jane or reach out using the secure contact form on the Activate Psychotherapy website.

The fee for a 50 minute session for both individual and couples therapy is $180.00. Fees will be increasing to $190.00 as of July 1, 2025. Psychotherapy Services in Ontario are HST exempt.

Activate Psychotherapy does not offer direct billing, however you will receive a receipt once payment is completed which you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. It is recommended checking with your insurance provider prior to booking sessions to confirm that your plan covers psychotherapy services from a Registered Psychotherapist.

Credit card and E-transfer.

For convenience, many clients add a credit card to their file and request that payment be processed automatically by Kathryn at the end of the session.

In order to help you get the most out of your virtual therapy sessions, please choose a private space for your session at a time when you won’t be interrupted. If other people will be in your home, choose a room with a door and consider options for increasing privacy (e.g. ear phones, playing music or using a noise machine). You have to be at a stationary location at the time of your therapy session (you cannot be driving a car). Since Kathryn is regulated by the College of Regulated Psychotherapists of Ontario, you also have to physically be in the province of Ontario at the time of your session.
